Here you see the bypass canal of Moscow-river. You can see some office buildings converted from former industrial shops to the right. To the fore you tsee a white boxy building – that is the new building of Tretyakov Arts Gallery. Art of the 20th century is exhibited there. You see a block of social clubs, exhibitions, recreational centers to the left. All of them were created in place of former industrial activity. The monument to the Peter the Great (as a founder of Russian NAVY) is in the background.

Very good capture. I love the social lounge element grown out industrial areas from long ago. Many cities are having this type of thing come up here and there. Something about it attracts me.
This is a great shot; I love your work. This is a little different from many of your posts but adds variety. Love it!
Here is twilight captured at its best with a fine description of what is what in the scene… And, to me, it has a feel of Moscow.
Alex, great shot! Now I got the answer as to why there was no ice!
Great composition. The processing gives the image a film like look.
What draws me in about this image are the sheets of ice on the river. Beautiful!
